Somalis in their pre-Islamic religious devotion were monotheists who worshipped the God of the Universe also known by the Cushitic name Waaq or the Sky God, a name mentioned in the Qur'an. They never worshipped the Sun. If there ever was any recorded historical accounts of Somalis worshipping the Sun, they were most probably a marginalised untouchable lower caste segment of the society that were completely ostracised. So, as a whole, Somalis weren't monotheisized with Islam. They were always monotheists.

Having said that, this topic has no religious significance. Especially from myself. Since it was completely lost on you, I was speaking about skin colour in society. Most of the world's cultures are apprehensive to dark. Because dark = bad luck = curse. In the Kingdom of God there is no superiority based on colour, except by virtue. But by societies' standards, that is where the judgement presides and skin cancer is a loser's argument to somehow alleviate the inferiority complex, but nice try with the BLM SJW arguments. There are many debilitating conditions that are much more likely to affect black/african, African Americans than anyone else. I love the Sun and sunbath regularly here in Hargeisa where it is most powerful, why should i seek the much weaker spanish sun?
