Somalia Internet Outage
outrages its almost two weeks there is no internet in South Central Somalia after Commercial ship reportedly crashed the fiber optic networks in high seas. we diaspora are cut from family, people back home don't have social media, watsApp, Facebook, Viber the only way to communicate is is normal phone calls which costs a lot money. also news coming out of the country are very limit.

I am hearing Somali government don't want peruse the Commercial ship who crashed the fiber optic networks just because it enjoyed few days of no news or little news coming out of the country , but Hormuud said to be working hard to restore the fiber optic cable and reported almost 80% of work completed they promised this coming Wednesday fiber internet will be back online.

Man-made or natural disasters could happen anywhere, which could result no power, no internet, no electricity, no water no shelter its about time to be prepared and never take things for granted

Actually it does matter. We don't want a repressive regime that limits or blocks the internet.
