I would give him the benefit of doubt. After the terrorist attacks, Europe is witnessing a vast right-wing (also ultras) conspiracy to discredit Islam and Muslim scholars. Most likely, the incident involved slapping/hitting students' hand with a stick (normal practice in Muslim countries), which the authorities falsely escalated it to allegations of sexual abuse. It could also be a plan by the authorities to distance Muslim families from Islamic schools so that the children become secular.
