Banadir (Mogadishu) and Maroodi Jeh (Hargeisa).

You said all resources and the most important resources are human and capital. And that's why these two are the largest by population, metropolitan and investment.

The rest of the other 'resources' are pure speculations.

As of today any regular person seeking opportunities would head to those two places.

Ex banaadir " two shabele and Banaadir" that is it. no one can dispute this for now.

Shabelle including Banaadir is Somalia's most beautiful fertile most rightest region for now, its Somalia's food basket until natural resource like natural gas petroleum oil or uranium is found another regions that will only and could only replace ex Banadir been the richest Somalia region.

The Southern part of Somalia is the richest. The Northern part is lacking in resources, that's why when there are droughts, it's the areas that suffer the most.

The region encompassing the Shabeelle and Jubba rivers is relatively well watered and constitutes the country's most arable zone. The lowland between the rivers supports rich pasturage. It features arid to subarid savanna, open woodland, and thickets that include frequently abundant underlying grasses. There are areas of grassland, and in the far southwest, near the Kenyan border, some dry evergreen forests are found.

The Sool region!

It is the only region with proven oil reserves.

This region will play a vital role in future of the Horn of Africa.

Currently, though the most thriving places in Somalia are Mogadisho, Hargeisa and Bosaso.

The rest of the country is barren and destitute, although, cities such Kismaayo, Burco, Galkacayo, Garowe, Borama, and Baidoa are being revived to become successful major population centres.

Are you kidding me :mindblown: . Unless you're talking about northern somalia proper(Bari & mudug) but if your referring to SL just faced the worst drought in history and came out relatively unscathed. When the south had it's last drought in 2011 an estimated 250,000 people died :(
