Ismail Mire was the first Somali postal officer. He run back and forth on his tiny pony delivering intelligence for the terrorist dervish. Am just telling the facts. He was not a commander nor was he a hero. He was a spy for the dervish who themselves were nothing but glorified highway robbers. Ismail Mire was a Somali hero. A great commander and poet.
He certainly deserves a monument erected in his name for all the sacrifices he made for Somalis and the Muslim Ummah.
