In Islam after 90 days is ok, But Somalis usually wait a little longer to void some awkwardness, with relatives etc. The woman needs to grieve and get over her deceased husband. You move in too fast and you could face dealing with some emotional issues, who needs that. If kids are involved its even more challenging. Unless she murdered the deceased nigga then the sooner the better.

I think for a widow, dating is xaraam or dhaqan xumo.
Dhaqanka Somaaliyeed says that a brother, cousin or close relative of the diseased husband should Dumaal her. Back home maybe dumaal is possible, but in the west it is hard. Dating could be interpreted differently, AW could be thinking just like talking to the woman about marriage and nothing dhaqan xumo about that, you maybe thinking in western context and the shenanigans that come with it.
