Etymology of Somalia words 2017.
Do you think these words are borrowed, shared or native to Somalia? Somali's were international traders when many nations weren't. Keep that in mind.

Nah, i don't think so. Unless it can be proven i'm sure some of these are somali. Example, roti and fircoon.
Roti is the general word for bread whereas in south asia it explicitly applies to chapatis. A borrowed word doesn't change drastically in application.
Fircoon breaks down to fir=generation/dynasty and coon=old, as in very old. Lent words never break down easily with clear meaning in the borrowers language.

Kibisti was tagged somewhere meaning bread. Kimis? As in the dress?

There's no proof of saxiib, faras, farax, roti, kuul and so on not being somali. All you somali self-hating folk need to get into uni and learn a thing or too. These words are somali as far as academia is concerned.

Roti cannot be a word generally used to mean bread because I doubt reer jabuutu use it. They call it 'furin'. Roti sound foreign. Kuul, magaalo, kimis ....they SOUND somali. The rest SOUND foreign.

So Fircoon = firkii coon? maybe it came from the word....fir'fir coon? As in waa qof firfircoon.

You sound like those brothers that read too much into a word and end up falling off a clif.

Roti is an Indian word for flatbread, kimis or laxoox are the Somali equivalent, some people also use the word canjeero though it's more associated with the Ethiopian flatbread, in Djibouti they call the french baguette furun, for the flatbread they use the Somali names they don't use the Indian word.
