Somali parliement is filled with Mps holding British , American , Canadian and Scandnevian citizenship
Now vice PM of Australia has just lost his post as its found out he got Newzeland nationality
Surely in Somalia we should have similar rules where people should give up any citizen of another country
Its a problem because you dont know where peoples allegency lies and they may be corrupt and sell the country as they know they can run away to some where else.

African politicians don't need dual citizenship to sell their country and as hideout, money does that, their dual nationality is rather for prestige.

u r being ridiculous. Somali western don't have to give up their western papers. It can come in handy. They can bring western associates to Somalia and invest. They can bring western ideas.

absolutely but at the same time, most of the educated people in Somalia have fleed during the civil war, most of these politicians are political refugees and not immigrants, so there is a difference between them and the vice PM of australia.
