Downsizing the cabinet

Post by MujahidAishah »

I watched a programme on hctv on ppls views of muse bixi ‘s new govt

One thing they all said was dowlad tiiro yar oo taayo badan..

So what ministries do you guy think should be cut?

My thoughts are:

Minister of House of Parliament needs to go —> Paycheck

Minister of tourism —-> paycheck post

Minister of youth and sports —-> can be absorb by minister of women and social affairs or education

Minister of technology——> what technology tho! apart from zaad and internet it can be absorbed in to ministry of energy/natural resources or dropped altogether

Minister of justice ——> absorbed by diinta iyo awqafta

Minister of factories/ business —-> factories seriously that is just a slap in the face they can go under finance

Cabinet should consist of :

Minstry of finance, education. Interior, foreign, health, aviation, religion, energy*, defence

* even this is a stretch tbh

Minister of tourism should stay.

Why would minister of women and social affairs (that entire name needs to be changed) also be tasked with youth and sports? Women and social affairs has more to do with women health and social affairs across all SL. Youth and Sports post should remain as they deal with a lot of money allocated by SL gov to go specifically for youth and sports , such as new Las Anod soccer stadium to be used for next year's SL soccer tournament. When unemployment is so high you need activities for youth and sports to do other than school.

I don't understand why you would want to get rid of minister of technology?? That ministry is working to create environment for more technology to thrive like the innovative zaad and other projects also with the new Iris scanners technology used in the voting process I believe ministry of technology played a role in securing that technology from EU to be used as test run in SL.

minister of Justice should remain also business and finance aren't the same and you shouldn't mix the two. A minister of finance is responsible for all expenses of the entire government. That's a huge focus while a minister of business is suppose to deliver policy (anti monopoly) and provide services and regulations so business can thrive responsibly. A finance minister already has enough responsibility of tracking all finances of everything that happens in SL and influencing policy and focusing on overall budget of the entire country

Lumping important ministries with random other duties is counterproductive either have the separate ministries or don't have them at all
