In a press statement on state TV Oromia regional president Lamma Magarsa stated that "the heinous crime committed on Somali civilians does not represent Oromo people and those responsible will be brought to justice." Link below
Side note: I have yet to see his Somali counterpart Abdi Iley release a single statement or make a single arrest for the thousands of Oromo civilians his militia massacred and displaced.

Liyu kill far more Somali's than Oromo....furthermore, no Somali civilians participate in pogroms against Oromo.

I don't think Oromo mothers and children were rounded up and executed in a planned act. We know Abdi ileey is a tigray lackey and his murdering militia are hired guns But ileey atleast displaced the oromos, not gather them in an open field and massacre them.
About the video, what is being said?

The president is doing a PR job.
Somalis in the Oromo region have been systematicaly discriminated by the Oromo officials of the kilil way before the Addis uprising furthermore they were forbiden to transfer land to other somalis or sell it. They were also disarmed and any issues they raised with the Oromia government were being not heard and marginalised. So what we see is the lynching of Somalis south african style with the blessing and collaboration of the Ethiopian army Oromo kilil officials and vigilantes armed with machettes and sickles.
Furthermore this incident happens just a month or so after 100 somali traders were brutality killed. All I see is this guy is just shedding crocodile tears and this attrocities will continue and it will not end there.

The main points he made are:
1. Condemnation of the attack on Somalis in Gadullo
2. Those actions don't represent Oromos and those responsible will be brought to Justice
3. Expressed regret of ethnic tensions between Oromos and Somalis and need for reconciliation
4. Liyu police attacks do not represent Somalis

That's good to hear, it's obvious a war between brotherly nations benifits a certain regime.
Hopefully those responsible will be brought to justice and there's a reconciliation process between both regions. The last thing we need is more fighting.

That guy is a pathological liar he is the abdi iley of Oromos. So we shouldl take his word as Koran and take abdi iley as the devil?
Him and Abdi iley serve the same masters aka TPLF he is just preaching water and drinking wine nothing more.
Give us a break he should have come out when the traders were butchered like animals in Hararge.
Him and Abdi Iley are being used by TPLF to further animosity between Somalis and Oromos and unlike the Somalis the massacre in Oromia is being done with collaboration between Oromia officials their security apparatus and the local vigilantees.

At the very least, all these killings should be a clear preview to all Somalis of the savage nature of Oromo people. What would they be like if they were in power?
