Safe as in as a southerner I would probably be met with the same treatment displayed by JSL towards those that have come before me if I went to Hargeysa. There is high chance I will be gunned down thanks to my southern dialect.

I doubt he would have been targeted if he wasn't high profile and didn't engage in politics. There are plenty of non issaq Somalis who visit hargiesa and vice verse and no one bats an eye. The trick is when in Rome do as the romans and you will be fine.

According to unauthorized biography, Dabcasar has roots in waqooye that goes back generations. His grandfather was once the CEO of Berbera Port and his father was born there. And as mentioned before, the Shiekh himself is married to a Somaalileyn lady and still has kids living in Hargeisa.

His wife is darod, the reason he is there and not in darod regions is because it’s a city vs lawless villages were he is guaranteed to get killed. He went to hargeisa to see how his daughter is doing, she got married to a HA guy recently (who banned her from seeing dabcasar in prison )

Dabcasar as far as I know has no blood relation to iidoor, he grandfather and father just use to live there, Dabcasar is Reer Caabudwaaq on both sides. Rer Warfaa iyo Rer Dalal Diini.. iidoorku ka har adeer baan idhi but he wouldn't listen midgaha maxuu ka doonay xitaa kaftan ma galaan kuwaas.
