Progress towards stability is being impeded by extreme drought and hunger, by Al-Shabaab's continued ability to slaughter large numbers of civilians, and other “enormous challenges,” said Michael Keating, head of the UN Somalia Mission.
“These include pervasive corruption, most obviously in politics, and powerbrokers’ willingness to use violence, or the threat of violence, against opponents,” he said in a review of Somalia's status.

Did you expect any other conclusion from the UN and Kenya alliance?
UN has huge bureaucratic staff that receive huge salaries. I am pretty sure Michael Keating, head of the UN Somalia Mission, doesn't want to get off that gravy train. It's quite evident that Kenya wants Somalia to become so numb to the war and conflict that one day they can easily annex fertile lands in the South of Somalia.
Turkish ambassador did and doing more for Somalia's future than Michael Keating.

UN is interested in perpetuating the Somali suffering. $50 billion spent and nothing to show for it. It's like modern cancer treatment. It's expensive and success rate is dismally small.
Turkey came to Somalia in 2011 and positive changes after their arrival are evident. So, I trust them more than UN and the West combined.
