The visit of SL leader, Muuse Biixi, few days ago to Addis Ababa was an eye-opener for me. I am guessing the trip was necessitated by the recent hostile border activities between SL and PL. The whole interaction between Ethiopia ans SL reminded me of a subject state asking for assurances from the colonial master. Starting with the Ethiopian plane delivering Biixi to Addis Ababa and ending with the body language and the statements between the parties, it was reeking with the smell of a master and its subject relationship. For example, the recent visit of Biixi to Djibouti was different and had an aura of respect. Can't say that about his visit to Ethiopia. It was more like an Ethiopian superior showing pleasantries in a condescending way.
If you read the press release of the office of the Ethiopian Prime Minister quoted below, it is obvious Ethiopia considers Somaliland as its territory and Biixi agrees with it.
Muuse Biixi is a beta just like Farmajo is when it comes to Ethiopia. At least, Farmajo is trying to break away from Ethiopian dominance. This SL fool runs to them and bends over.

Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn held discusion with Somaliland President Musa Bihi Abdi here in Addis Ababa yesterday.
During the meeting, the Premier and the President discussed on ways to further strengthen peace and security, economic, trade and educational cooperation between Ethiopia and Somaliland.
Prime Minister Hailemarim said Ethiopia considers the development of its neighbors as its own development, adding “it would continue offering scholarship for Somaliland youth.”
Ethiopia wants to strengthen its economic integration with Somaliland by using Port of Berbera. Hence, due attention would be given for the development of the port’s access road, the Premier indicated.
The Premier further said that Ethiopia would provide support for Somaliland in the fight against al-Shabaab.
President Musa Bihi Abdi for his part said Somaliland has keen interest in cementing its relation and cooperation with Ethiopia, particularly in the political, security and economic sectors.

Very warm and high end welcome by the Government of Ethiopia. No wonder the Wanlawein feel uneasy. I don't blame them for having all these fears.
Whether province or country next door, we know one thing and that is Ethiopia and SL are closer to each others than SL is to Somalia.
So no point.
Business is closer, future projects are designed to be tied to Ethiopia and there is zero talk about anything going south or coming from there. As far as SL is concern that's like no go zone.
The Berbera corridor is what will truly put SL on the map as it generates billions for its citizens, for further infrastructures, attract more foreign investments, increase existing investors capacity in other fields, and borrow money using Berbera as a leverage.
Muse has improved things in his protocols. Very professional compared to the previous leaders.

All that above that you mentioned is true and added to it SL is vessel state to Ethiopia. 19% of berbera is good example of being vessel state condition of SL.

Add to the above that you mentioned, SL gave away 19 % of berbera port to Ethiopia for free. Imagine giving away 19% of port for foreign country for free. That money could build hospitals/schools/jobs/free houses for IDP.

Yes the difference is the South is the real ethiopian province while SL is free to create PARTNERSHIP with Ethiopia, not be their slaves like Somalia we SL and Ethiopia signed off on a lot of different infrastructure projects together including a railway stretching to Berbera Port as Ethiopia is now minority owner of Berbera Port
SL and ethiopias relationship is purely about money. Somalia isn't in a position to make such deals because you guys basically don't even control Somalia.
Zoomali's hate when they see Somalilanders exercising free will and creating relationship with neighbors I said free will as in SL CHOSE to do this we could have ignored ethiopia and be hostile towards them, but that's not in SL's best interest. Instead we'd rather generate hundreds of millions and soon billions of dollars by creating partnership with ethiopia. It's business not personal, and that's what makes you guys mad the most because you personally have to rely on Habashi for security and training, we are on business level relationship with them
