Germany Gives Up On The Failed State Somalia

The German military will stop participating in a European Union training mission in Somalia at the end of March, a Foreign Ministry official said on Thursday, expressing frustration at the pace of progress.
This comes a week after UN envoy Micahel Keating said corruption remains rampant in Somalia. And a month after US cut military aid to Somalia amid allegations of culture of corruption. The U.S. suspension of aid came after the Somali military repeatedly failed to account for food and fuel. Somalia was unable to feed, pay or arm its soldiers - despite hundreds of millions of dollars of support.
Imagine if this was happening under Hassan Sheikh Mohamud ....the tribalist #FarmaajoWinning #Farmaajoiigeeya crowd would be calling for his head. Wait.... we don't have to imagine.
