I remember as a kid traveling this road, this unforgiving & beauty 500 km journey from Mogadishu to Xarardheere which took us 30 days almost a month its a journey i will never forget

30 days to travel to 500km by car? even if the roads are bad it should not be that slow, did you stop in the journey and explore or 30 days non stop driving?
