I was Greeted With Those Three Very Special Words!

So today while at work I had received a call from my qumayo letting me that she wasn't feeling well. Soon after I decided to finish work early to surprise her and help with the chores and looking after the boy.
And soon as I arrived home she greeted me with those 3 very special words:
" were you sacked?"

You must have come home earlier than usual and she didn't expect you to make a commitment to come early to address the issue you discussed with her. Try to understand things from her perspective sometimes. It might not seem offensive or unbecoming.
