Notice how their women and girls are wearing the Arab niqab or jilbaab or the shit Somalis now call xijaab.
Now wait for an Arab brain washed Somali showing up defending this xijaab crap culture as Muslim culture.

Re: Arab Jews in Yemen and Oman.
Cutegirl you alkhadam are Yemeni ground sweepers most ignoble clan in the horn use to tell that to the Saudis and the libyans during the heydays of general afbakhare. The funny thing is you used an isaaq translator by the name cumar carte qaalib because you didnt had good arabic speakers. The guy didn't see the alkhadams piglets were using him. Funny thing is when the war was. Ishaaq vs al khadam. He couldnt choose. Do you know why because He suckled on doofaar boobs when he was a baby. There is a difference between a pure isaaq and a barbarxaaraan. One that has nijaas blood in his veins
Re: Arab Jews in Yemen and Oman.
Can we stop these bone crushing insults. Granted we will remain enemies for years or even centuries to come but can we have some things off limits! Demeaning the other side is not gonna make them disappear. We are neighbors and will remain so. Maybe, its about time we tried to learn to respect each other even if we have an irreconcilable differences
Re: Arab Jews in Yemen and Oman.
We should wipe idoor langaab out of existence. It surely not that hard

Re: Arab Jews in Yemen and Oman.
This is like the most nonintellectual question posing as an intellectual question.
1. Jews are a small minority in the land and all small minorities (especially those facing danger) have to integrate/assimilate to survive. For example we Somalis in the West wear jeans or pants. Do we ever wear Macawiis in public? Does that then mean the jeans is as much ours or the Westerners we borrowed from?
2. Yemenite Jews are the longest surviving Jewish nation in the Middle East. Older than the Jews in Persia (came back following the defeat of the Greeks), in Israel (came back from Europe), and older than the Jews of Morocco (came back from Spain). Obviously the culture must have become part of their culture as well of their Yemeni Arab neighbors.
3. Yemenite Jews like all super-Orthodox Jews share a lot in common with Muslims in terms of modesty. For example, near my home is an Orthodox Haredi Jewish neighborhood...I remember one time when it was windy and finding the Jewish woman's WIg fall off. It was later I learned all Haredi and many Jewish orthodox women wear WIGS because they are forbidden from showing their hair. They couldn't wear a headscarf over the hundreds of years they were in Europe, so they developed the culture of wearing wigs. Why would the Jewish Orthodox woman in Yemen need to wear a wig, when she can just wear her covering?
Again, there are many reasons the Jews of Yemen dress like their Arab neighbors. Integration/assimilation, correlation, shared values, etc. Jews didn't survive 5000 years of dispersal by trying to be different from their neighbors. From Yemen to Persia to Poland, they survived by fitting in as tightly as possible.

First of all majority of Somalis wear trousers not macaws. So there your first erroneous assertion.Voltage wrote: Fri Mar 09, 2018 7:17 pm This is like the most nonintellectual question posing as an intellectual question.

Also the fact you noticed Jews cover their hair like Arabs support my point that this hair fetish is an ancient culture that predates Mohammed.
Your last point is meaningless 100ks of none Muslim Arabs live among the Arabs and none of them uses thief hijab. The hijab is strictly within Arabia, if you go to levant and beyond you would see few so called Arabs adopting this attire.

Re: Arab Jews in Yemen and Oman.
Uhm, Islam doesn't claim to be a new religion. It claims to be the same religion as Christianity and Judaism, but a the last form of it. Orthodox and Haredi Jews also do not consider Liberal and Reformed Judaism as real Judaism and they are they most closest to Islam of any religious group before Islam.X.Playa wrote: Sat Mar 10, 2018 1:06 am First of all majority of Somalis wear trousers not macaws. It makes sense then that the most Orthodox Jews are the Yemenite Jews and would therefore mostly resemble their Muslim neighbors.
Re: Arab Jews in Yemen and Oman.
You have a superficial understanding of what a Jew is, the Arab Jews are as Arab as any one else., they were just converted to Judaism, they are not a different ethnicity. Thats why all Arab Jews dress no differently then Muslim or Christian Arabs.

Re: Arab Jews in Yemen and Oman.
I probably know more about Jews than you do. Seems cheesy to say but one of my best friends growing up was Jewish. Have you been to a Jewish home for Hanukkah? Multiple years? Have you went to a Sabbath dinner and broke challah with them? I learned a lot about Judaism from his dad who was an Orthdox Jewish Rebbe.
I am a great fan of the Jewish people while realizing Israel is a sovereign state and could be subject to criticism. Generally I admire and greatly respect the Jewish people and their history of survival.
So thank you. I don't need a politically motivated religiously intolerant person trying to explain to me what similarities between these Othodox Yemenite Jews and their Muslim neighbors mean.
