berbera is important to ethiopia a strategic acces and a leverage over Djibouti
in international maritime security what makes berbera important and not bossaso
alwayes remember if berbera was so important great powers will be competing(not peripheral like UAE and saudi arabia) aslong as there is djoubuti, somaliland has no strategic relevance and you saw that after djoubuti independence

In terms of business its the busiest trade route in the world of course it holds relevance and is a competitor to Jabel Ali and Djibouti, why do you think the entire world wants military base in the area, in case of war this area will be used to maneuver both goods and military, as well as blocking their enemies.

yes mogadishu is hawiye city but its also the seat of somalia.
