Does this mean Ethiopia is now a Muslim country since it's going to be ruled by a Muslim Prime Minister from the country's largest ethinc group ?

In the past Ethiopia was assumed and said to be a Christian country simply because of its Christian leaders.

He's mixed actually. He also has a Christian wife.
...I know he's oromo and tigiree(tigray) mix, perhaps with some amhara blood too. A mix of the three most powerful Ethiopian ethnics. Interesting that the Andm, the amhara element of the eprdf, fully supported him. He also is a war veteran, he fought in the war against Eritrea, he still has many fans and supporters in the Ethiopian military as well. Time will tell if he can actually bring change because Ethiopia is divided at the moment. Let's judge his upcoming moves and decisions before hating or liking him, is how I feel.

And he does have a strong resume.
Time will tell if he does anything is what I'm saying.

This isn't the first time Oromos ruled Ethiopia but this is the first time under EPRDF government.

PM is the most powerful person in Ethiopia, I don't know what you're smoking on. He can fire and hire new cabinets, he can elect Agazi generals and also ENDF generals. He can elect a new head of intelligence and also fire plus he can elect head of the army. PM can do everything he desires if he has a vision and support from his party. Dr. Abiy has support from OPDO, ANDM and some members of SEPDM.

This is what I expect...

Minster of Defence: ANDM
Communication Minster: SEPDM
Head of Army: OPDO
Head of Agazi: OPDO
Head of Intelligence: ANDM

He cant make policies wolayte boy could not make policies. If he works For oromia it's maybe good. Can he remove ileey I don't think so. Ikeey has his special relations with the woyane clicque. Tigre are playing good politics I think only isias afewerki can damage the tigreans. Because he knows them the best amhara will not start a war and oromo get good incentive from tigray. You must be dreaming, 45 votes from OPDO, 45 votes from Amhara and 18 votes from SNNPR. Tigray is the enemy of Oromo and we will wipe them out from the army and security forces. TPLF will be powerless once the Amharas, Oromos and Southerners unite. TPLF only thrives on dividing their subject like yourself.....

I have more respect for Neftegna Amhara because they are honest warriors...
