Apparently was an Oromo lady of Doombiro (an Oromo sub sub clan).
Many had mistaken the name Doombiro to be the name of the lady but as it is apparent it is the name of the sub clan which she hailed from.it was usually in the old days a Somali tradition to refer a wife and call her by her clan or sub clan name, the wife would become known by that clan or sub clan that she she belonged. Therefore, Doombiro is said to be an oromo lady from the Doombiro sub clan of the Afran Qallo Oromo.

Though there is also a more widely spread popular story of Doombiro being a daughter of Dir, the founding father of the Dir clan.

Sxb that's uncalled for!!.....NO NEED to disrespect and named call a whole Somali Clan which like all other Somali clans have questionable history.

It is not far fetched. Very plausible and logical but it needs cool headed research. One thing is certain thou, we have been always near the Galla. We kept pushing them when ever our tribe expanded

I’ve actually heard of her being Oromo as well, from this clan. I believe it might be under warra Maya within Babille Qallo. Not too sure though, I just brushed it off thinking it was nonsense.

This fits with Hawiye oral history that says Donbiiro was a Ethiopian servant woman working for Diir. She was not fair looking and unmarried when Darood seduced her as he hid in the wilderness. When Hawiye discovered him, Darood ran up the tree trying to escape Hawiye. He cried out to Donbiiro who called Diir pleading with him to ask his younger brother not to kill the Illegal immigrant from South Arabia. Diir viewed Donbiiro like a daughter and asked Hawiye not to kill Jeberti and in return Darood married Donbiiro. Hawiye told Diir he wools regret his folly.

Except there could never have been anything called Ethiopia or perhaps even Abyssinia in that time!

Blah blah Hutu propaganda. That’s now how the story goes. Basically Darood Ismail arrived from Arabia, for whatever reason he find the need to climb up into a sycamore tree, where he is found by Dir and his kinsmen. He refuses to come down until the king of Dir offers his daughter to Darood. Darood climbs down onto Hawiye shoulders, and becomes Dir's son in law. Darood could’ve come down from the tree using the tree branches but he thought he was superior than this dark ugly looking kid straight outta of South Sudan (that is Hawiye).
