Somaliland has not moved forward politically since president Egal. And we have been going backwards in terms of diplomacy, Somaliland is getting weaker and weaker each day.
Geopolitics changes all the time Ethiopia was our friend and closest ally 30 years ago. However a lot has changed since, Ethiopia has been very close with Djibouti and made up with Eritrea recently so Somaliland is no longer important to them.
Somaliland has also failed to secure its borders for the last 30 years. Somaliland has failed to challenge Somalia and always gave up or let them win although we had the upper hand most of the time.
Somaliland could have achieved so much without being internationally recognised like Taiwan. Somaliland has failed in terms of economy. The government barely built any infrastructure in the past 30 years. We got the worse roads in the world. Our capital has no running water, no sewage systems, poor grid system...
The government has also failed on health development, education, justice, law and order the police don’t even have an emergency number. Somaliland has become a failed project the people/ leaders need to come together and have a different plan because plan A has failed

It is true that Somaliland is not where it is supposed to be politically or economically, I am with you on that one, but it is a complete falsehood to make the claim that it is due to some poor boon marehan holed up in Mogadishu guarded by African AMISOM troops whenever he leaves his room to take a piss.
