There is no looting, killing, etc., happening in Xafad Ciise. That is total fabrication you heard from your source. There are some mixed neighborhoods, or at the fringes of neighborhoods, where the two ethnicities meet, that the clashes occured. There are casualties on both sides.

At the moment, peace is being restored and federal and DD police (which comprises of Somalis and Oromos) are patrolling the neighborhoods.

The Djiboutians were attacked in Ganda Gamaju. It is where Somali and Oromo neighbourhoods converge. Do you think if they were in the heart of Xaafad Ciise, the locals would just stand by and let that happen? Tell me why Xaafad Ciise is not ablaze if they have been overrun as you claim?

As for Dire Dawa, it is no different than Addis because of its commercial relevance. How many Gurages and other ethnicities are there in Addis? There is even a Somali neighbourhood in Bole as you very well know. There are probably as many Xabashas and other Ethiopians combined as Somalis in Dire Dawa. What matters is who dominates the area surrounding Dire Dawa and as long as the Gurgura identify as Somali, the land will remain mainly Somali. Why do you think the Oromos are complaining about Ciise's expanding their presence in the town?









The above area in question is not Xafat Ciise, it is located centrally and has attracted a lot of immigrants from the Southern Nations State such as the Gurage. Confirmed reports received from Jigjiga reveal utter chaos has prevailed over the city within 24 hours since the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) seized control. Following the incursion into the city last night by Ethiopian defense forces, five civilians where killed and a subsequent curfew was implemented in the city.

As of this morning local contacts reveal widespread pillaging and looting taking place in Jigjiga being perpetrated by non Somalis. Eye witnesses revealed even mosques are not being spared in this onslaught. There is a lot of BS floating about, things are definitely not rosy but the Federal authorities are maintaining a semblance of order in Dire Dawa as it is one of the economic lifelines of Ethiopia.

Save what day? When the conflict escalates beyond the use of Machetes and Sticks then there will be something to worry about in Dire Dawa. Like I said, Dire ain't a rural expanse being fought over like in other areas of the Somali borderlands, it is not yet in the interest of the Xabasha for it to descend into anarchy; just pointing out that fact.

If there is an open season on K5 Somalis in the borderlands, all will be royally fucked then they can all lament together instead of each clan in question saying 'that ain't my fight' when only one of them is attacked.

Prepare for war? With which enemy first? The Skinny or the Oromo? As Somalis, blood will always be shed with or without the Oromo Bogeyman. Take away the exaggerated Oromo threat in K5 and you will have Clan X against Clan Y, and then Clan X with turn on themselves etc. Tis the nature of things.

Whether Somalis catch bullets from Oromos or other Somalis does not make a blind bit of difference to the Skinny that ends up six feet under.
