It's not the German schoolKowJow wrote: Fri Aug 17, 2018 4:33 pm Is that the German Technological institute school?. My uncle used to attend it back in the 80's, it was funded and built by the East German communists i believe, they taught all sorts of technical trade (farsamooyin). The school was originally built outside Burao but since then the city has expanded and now surrounds it, the neighborhood it's found in is now called "Xaafada jarmalka". Last time i visited Burao the school was in ruins, despite that it was quite a view to behold, it had a huge towering tank that dwarfed the buildings around it and could be seen from far away, the gardens despite not being tended to for years also had all kinds of flowers growing...such a shame that a place were children were once educated is now a kharaabad playground for the ciyaal xaafad.
