SNM did not have a national strategy. You could not even agree with your IRIR brothers Hawiyeha let alone reconcile D&M, Darood etc As a Marexaan I would prefer being a second class citizen to IRIR in a strong, united Somalia than what we have today.

-SSDF national strategy they realized 2006 in bringing Amxaaro
-USC were so stupid they killed SPM who were being slaves to them

SNM had a plan with sacad siicid reer jalaf caydiid and cismaan caato . But abgaal muxug diiranaya hijacked the plan. And afweyne could not calm down his son maslax oo qooqay. Cumar Carter qaalib was mediating between maslax and afweyne

Certain Skinny clans seem to have inherited the false doctrine that leadership is theirs by anscestral right.

Don't forget the ssdf were also with the usc......they were rewarded for vanquishing the Darood counter attack on Xamar by having their men, women and children slaughtered in Xamar.
As the old saying goes.....be careful what you wish for.

Murax you are exaggerating. It was a friendly fire incident which occurs more frequently in war. The coalition of the willing (USC, SNM, SPM, SDM, SSNM) was diverse and had membership from all major clans unlike the MSB Daroodist rebels. How could an Abgaal braveheart from Ceeldheer know the difference between SPM-SNA vs Gabyow’s proMSB Ogaden? Matter of fact Sacad from Mudug had to bring Hawiye accented HG with them as they poured South lest we be mistaken for MJ.

To answer Khalid’s question, it would have worked if it went to someone who wasn’t ProAfweyne. It would mean Tuur l
