It’s a local port. It can’t be an international port hub which the government wants because of its location. Red Sea and Golf of Adan which 10% of world cargo passes through everyday is the only location to have a hub. Also berbera is much closer to Addis than mog, plus the roads linking the port to Addis are already there. This is a busy road as it goes through a lot of cities such as hargeisa, wajaale, jigjiga, herer, diridawa.

The adwayne government decided to make mpg the main port in Somalia because of tribalism. Had he choose berbera it would have been a major hub of the world today. Dubai and Djibouti were small ports at the time

Afwayne did not develope the north. In fact he destroyed more than he built. For example the former British somaliland had 150 different types of date trees. That got destroyed by afwayne and his administration. The guy had a deep hate for isaaq he fell threatened. He wanted to delete our history and make us poor.

Are you 100% sure that Siyaad Barres AUN government did not contract the Construction of Berbera port??

Can you provide proof that Siyaad barre has eradicated the 150 different Date trees??? Or is it just a baseless claim that you h are from your parents and you intend to repeat to your children??

Siyaad sigaste did nothing for us he built the cement factory in berbera that is it he caused more damage than good. For example people were not allowed to build more than 2 story tall. He gave away berera port and airport to the soviets, they developed it a little. But had he used his head instead of his hate for isaaq berbera could have been one of the biggest ports in Africa. It would be on the same level as Mombasa and Djibouti.
As for silanyo he left him in 1982. Everyone else did not have a say he was a dictator.
