A new civil war between the federal government and the federal states would be the result of this initiative. All Somalians who are not Rahanwein, Abgaal, HG, MJ, Ogaden or Hawadle would fight on the side of the SFG headed by Farmajo and Kheire.

Federalism had been around for 20 years. It worked well so far for Puntland. So It was spread to Jubaland, Galmudug, South west and Hirshabeele. So far these regions had more peace and prosperity under federalism.
Farmajo and Khayre who are both from abroad and don’t know how it’s like to live in the country want to get rid of the system and bring back centralism.

Centralism is what we in South Somaliawant especially us Hawiye, but what we dont want is 2 langaabs decide our landheer/majority political fate, how can an langaab murursade which has no degaan in Somalia and that we HG conquered them in 15 minute decide our destiny, the arrogant audacity of the marexan farmaajo will be his downfall.

Why do you want centralism. Power concentrated to a few individuals in xamar. It’s mostly Hawiye and merehan that wants centralism. Let me ask you a question would you still support centralism if the capital got relocated to say baidabo or garowe?
Also centralism is not a reality right now as the government barely control the capital.

If our neighbour Somalia was to abolish federalism and the 5 breakaway clan-enclaves in favour of centralism and the old pre-war 13 regions dependant on the Mogadishu based central government than this would be great for my country Somaliland as a independent sovereign state.

Reason being is that ethiopia and Kenya would xaar their pants and will both recognise and defend SL as a reaction against Soomaliweyn.
