Lasanod

Post by Hennystreak »

I am going to Las anod for the first time in my life on november 18th. Its something that wasnt in the cards but my grandfather has been getting more and more sick and wanted to pay him a visit ilaahi ha caafiyo. I plan on visiting nearby somali regions too; though im not too familiar with the geography of the area.

I just want to know is their anyone else who will be in Las Anod this november-December-January period? If not, in Somalia in general? What are some things i could do in the meantime to passtime? My father wanted me to make a lecture at the local university and i'm up for it as long as the ppl are benefitting. What are the areas in Las anod that would yield the highest ROI when buying up plots of land?

Am gonna be in Garowe Dec-Jan InshaAllah, its gonna be my 7th visit to Somalia since 2013 though lol.

The areas with the highest ROI in Las Anod, I think are - South (Madaremin & Farax-iskule), West (Ex-control, JamaLaye, & Diif), North (Bisha Cas), West (Central Las Anod). I recently bought a 'balood' (15 Meters by Meters 15) in Farax-iskule for 10k (USD), I intend to sell it on within the next few years.

Ilaahi Aabaha ha caafiyo Aamiin. I hope that you have a beneficial journey both to you and those you visit inshallah.

If you are going to Laaska and surrounding areas, I would suggest that you visit all the historical places where the Sayid used to live. Places like Taleex still have physical artifacts from the 1800s such as the Sayids AUN army barracks.

My uncle is running for vice presidency of Puntland so I will be tuning errands for him for a bit in Garowe. However, I intend to stay for the most part in lasanod. I have seen pictures although the town has grown well it is still not at the same level as Garowe which has a similar population figure. I want to reach some modules at nugal University. Horta what part of lasanod is muse Yuusuf school in? That’s where my awoowo lives near.

I like the new hotel we opened suite hotel but we need at least 3 four star hotels in lasanod. One isn’t enough. We will see if we can catch up for some shax in dhulkeena hooyo inshallah

Yeah InshaAllah, it would be great to meet up for shah in Garowe if you come there.

And your right Adeer, Garowe and Las Anod are of similar size and population but Garowe is the capital of Puntland, hence its more developed with better hotels and more modern buildings etc. However, Las Anod has also expanded and improved in recent years as well it has more paved roads, schools, hospitals etc. For some reason though reer Las Anod seem to mostly invest their money in building large houses and not businesses.

Which hotel, Shire?

I hope your uncle wins Adeer, InshaAllah!

If you wanna teach at Nugaal University they usually ask for a Master's degree but it depends on what you wanna teach i guess and if you just want to volunteer there or get paid.

Muse Yusuf is in the Manhal Area, in the south of town.

Lasanod is more developed than garowe. In all sectors except the hospitality sector. Just because LA has less visitors than garowe. Few Dhulos go bacl to their homeland. They are all in hargeisa mogadishu , Nairobi or garowe. The other thing MJs make too much faan and empty bravado for their villages. Dhulos are the opposite you can rarely see any Dhulos promoting their towns.

If they expect a masters degree to teach at the University it shows hat their is some level of order/organisation in the University mashallah. I have just finished my bachelors hahaha Marla I will just see if I can volunteer and tutor the students. You are also right we need to invest in businesses and hotels as that’s what is going to drive the economy of the town. Yes I was talking about shire hotel but autocorrect baa na wareeriiyay.

Horta ilaahay somaali oo dhan ba dhulkooda ha uu barakeeyo. The development of every Somali town from north west south east makes me very happy and grateful wallahi. In la is xaasido ma fiicno. Garowe was magalo mudan oo quruxeey badan and has grown exponentially in 20 years. Quite remarkable to be honest.

You welcome adr, happy to help.

Congratulations, on finishing your degree.

I just started doing a masters degree myself.

Lol yeah, the University is run quite efficiently. They'll probably give you a trial run to observe how you teach but I can't see why they wouldn't allow you to volunteer and help the students or even get paid if your really good.

Good luck with trip to the motherland. Hopefully, you'll enjoy your time there and make some happy memories.

Inbox here if you when you come to Garowe, InshaAllah!

Tell your uncle to run for the PL Presidency, you can defeat the MJs, They have an unfair advantage of 31 Mps out of 66 Mps, the Leelkase, Warsangeli, Dashishe, Jambel Koombe, Awrtable and Dhulbahante have 35 MPs which is outrageous but you can still do it, Promise them Good Ministerial Positions, that you will open the Constitution and give them more MPs in a fair way, and your uncle can defeat the MJs in their Game!! 35 vs 31 stop running for a vice Presidency that is powerless!! Every clan should run for the Presidency! Or they should just say it’s a Maxamud Saleebaan State.

The Mohamud Saleban have 12 only out of 66 MPs I don't know how they seem get the presidency every time.

The only time we challenged them was back 2005, when Mohamed Abdi Hashi lost by 1 vote to Adde Muse.
