The way the Government can win over the public is all about morality and ideologically invading their hearts and minds.

The restoration of Somali Airlines would be a huge moral boost and nationalism.

These kind of things have ripple effect and would even have positive impact on security.

You just don't fight with guns and igu sawir moments--------there has to be moral boost and ideological ideas that elevate nationalism and these things have to be on the minds on Somalis 24/7 meaning you have to invade their homes, workplace, leisure times, nomadic herding and one way is mass media.

When the airline flies over the nomads, they will see her and seeing her means seeing the Government.

Remember: Out of site out of mind.

I am firm believer things like an airline would defeat more al Shabab than fake AMISOM/SNA militiamen. The reason al Shabab wins is because government is out of site while al Shabab is not ideologically.

If I was in charge, I would abandon some projects for the airliner; $100m is all it needs. Once in the air, offer free flights for a month and land in all cities in Somali Republic with airports and splash that all over social media. Somalis lack the concept of incentives. The Government has to reward its people every now and then. You just can't have that wall between the Government and the civilians. The Government has to be like a hooyo to the people. Everyone respects their hooyo.

For those who wish to fly free within Somali Republic, I would ask them to submit 45 second video and tag Somali Airlines on social media. Not all would be selected from social media since not all Somalis have social media but the youth do and their engagement would be important. You want to create the buzz.

Of course you also want to include nomads who never flew and give them that experience so it can have life long impression on them.

This is how you win over people.

Hargeisa will definitely welcome its airline. After all it's sick of being second (case of Ethiopian running to Mogadishu to promote the bigger political agenda) or over paying for Arabs that give no shyt just a quick dollar.

The people are far more educated today and know the union wasn't all bad. Certainly, like all countries not perfect, but it was not what certain individuals with self-driven interests portray to be.

The Jews do not like people who discuss or refuse to swallow the hard pill of "holocaust". They simply label them "Holocaust denier" and put them six foot under. The same is true with Somaliland. Anyone who questions things is apprehended rather than answer their questions or help them seek education.

The truth is they fear them discovering the truth. It's easier to reinforce, retell and keep them in locks with "we got killed, we got massacred, have you not seen why we had to set up SNM, why we decided to revive the British man ideals and borders????"

This is why the slightest of truth hurts them so much. I can see them reading this with so much cuqdad and hatred for me right now hahahahaha despite being my kumbaya bandwagon when I'm playing along with the lies for the sake of 'fadhi ku dirir'.

Somali people don't need to kill each others nor is the alternative segregation. It is possible to be fluid and co-exist peacefully as they have done for millennia.

One love.

I don't believe any Somali truly hates their own no matter which reerka shirt they wearing. I think what we have on Snet is different. Fadhi ku dirir gone over drive and some of us actually forgot the reality.

That we are all guilty of including myself (first to admit).

Somalia doesn’t even exist in reality thanks to breakaway enclaves like PL JL etc. How can another country (Somaliland) unite with something that doesn’t exist (Somalia) as I have explained is beyond me.

The failed union of 31 years will never return and SL will remain independent. This nonsense airline should be banned from landing in SL

Rageeda, I believe Farmaajo can definitely win hearts and minds if he continues to take steps in improving foreign policy, and development, the air control which use to feed the kikuyu millions has returned to Somalia, of course the next step is to bring back the airlines, its a huge sumcad for the Somali people.

With security only getting worse under axmaarjo, I can see alsahbab using one of these planes to mount a massive 9-11 like attack on mogadisho.

Tell your adeer to bring security to xamar before all, so that he doesn't have to close the mecca city every time he leaves in his amisom bunker/tanker/ wearing two bullet proofs(front and back).
