Infrastructure: Why Puntland is superior than SL

Post by AwRastaale »

I have noticed when it comes to key infrastructures such as roads, airports and urban planning, Garowe looks more like a Government than Hargeisa.

Garowe was able to build two new airports while people in SL region still depend on Hargeisa, which itself is lacking quality.

Even something as little as street lights and powerlines/poles, Garowe has upper hand.

Hargeysa airport has way more customers than all Puntland airports combined. More passengers more money. In fact a lot of Puntlander get off at Hargeysa before heading to Puntland.
As for those little street lights we have them everywhere in Burco, they’re nothing special. We got good electricity, internet and non stop water supply. Don’t talk to me about Puntland and it’s salty bitter water.

Garowe is the best planned city post civil war period. No video does it justice one must visit and see with their own eyes. It's not even the 2nd biggest city in Puntland but 3rd. But it looks better than Galkayo uyo Bosaso due to good planning.

That's coming to an end. More international flights are going to Mogadishu. And mogadishu is a hub for local destinations within somalia.

People use to go to berbera or hargeysa for lay off. But it is cheaper and easier now to use Mogadishu.

You got no evidence Mogadishu airport has more passengers for than Hargeysa. Most flights that land in Mogadishu airport are either local flights from other towns in Somalia or flights to Nairobi. Mogadishu airport had only Turkish airlines as an international airline. Now Ethiopian airlines is operating there, although it had been operating in somaliland for years. Even Ethiopian airlines with the cheapest flights to Mogadishu would cost you $250 more than the same flight from the same destination going to Hargeysa. Hargeysa has more international airlines and passengers. It’s more safer so it would stay like this.

Ignore al murtad, the kafir.

The Garowe project is good example.

In ten years it's going to look very sexy once all those trees blossom and streets and businesses mature.
