How is this a win? The UN already said they won’t be changing their policy. Just a new person who will do and say exactly the same things Haysom said. What do you think the UN will just send somebody who will ignore the human rights abuses? :pac:

“Antonio Guterres says he “deeply regrets” decision of the Somali federal Govt to issue “persona non grata” against Nicholas Haysom which he says does not “apply” to U.N. personnel.”

It says he regrets the FGS decision , not that he regrets Haysoms actions and statements. That’s the biggest telltale. The UN is saying we will send someone new but things will remain the same, unless Somalia doesn’t want the millions in aid yearly and the help the UN gives fighting against al Shabab.

That was always going to happen. It was either replace the guy or cut relations, and relations were not going to be cut.

This is a win for Villa Somalia at the moment, but the real question is how the relationship is moving forward.

Farmajo needs to fire the Boolis Taaliye in SWS who made that video an put Robow on trial or explain his situation to ease the IC concerns.

Put him on trial for what? He was only arrested cause he was going to win the election.

Roobow didn't commit any crimes leading up to the elections and if it was for charges when he was in Al Shabaab government already gave him amnesty for that over a year before elections ever happened.

He broke his agreement with the govt. I've no sympathy for the people who support him because of clan. They support a terrorist and he should never taste the seat of power. He brought his militias in the city. This is his fault. He thought he was smarter than the govt

I'm not sure if you're really just that gullible or you're insincere but i'll give you a shot.

What agreement did he break and where was the agreement made/documented? Where was this militia he brought into the city? How come no one in Baydhabo saw them? How come the federal government didn't arrest and display the militiamen and their weapons to the media if said crimes actually occured?

You're really repeating fake talking points and trying to pass them off as facts.

You're much better suited for the clan banter Sadaam.

I agree with you brada. The onus is on the govt to prove that. But however, it's disgusting that people actually support this scum. So his victims and acts of terrorism is easily forgotten, eh?

I support this govt on issue they are right and criticize when it's wrong. This time it is right in defending our national security. How it looks to our IC supporters and world media if we elected Robow to head of a regional state? Also don't say because there's already Axmed Madobe in power and others. That's before N&N admin. That arguement is mute. I have no sympathy for Robow, Bixi, Qeybiid, Morgan, and Omar Jess still walking around.

If you support terrorist to head your regional state. It shows your people's lack of political intelligence and self restrain. This isn't your fault. It is the fault of not having a strong govt and institutions to counter the rise of strongmen who are in for their own interests for 30 years.

Weak, eh? So weak that UN head begged Farmajo, lol. The federal state of Somaliland needs to respect the decisions of the Fed Gov't.

This is good, but I hope Farmaajo sticks to his stance and not allow the replacement to meddle in affairs concerning the country's policies.
