Back to why Somali airline will come back this year

Post by dalalos101 »

As we all know during Farmaajo's term we have returned a important part of securing territorial intregrity, that is airspace control which was formerly based in Kenya. Today its fully functioning in Mogadishu, it is in our hands completely and brings both revenue to our national budget and work to our people particularly in Mogadishu.

The reason why this is priority becomes very clear when you know the background of the president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, his father was one of the founders of Somalia aviation department, and vice president of the aviation department before he passed away AUN, this is why his son who is now president has worked day and night to bring back air control to Mogadishu and further reestablishing Somali airlines.

Return of Somali airlines is not only important indicator of return of Somalia statehood, but it will bring massive revenue as a large chunk of the Somali population "the diaspora" are very willing to return home, and have increasingly done so repeatedly ever since former President Sh. Sharif when Mogadishu took it first step out of the civil war era.

Somali airlines returning is no longer a belief but a fact that will materilize in Farmaajo's term, despite all the obstacles and useless opposition, we must support this.

All you doing here is telling people you're marehan

As for saying this government is the best is debatable still we don't have anything new from this administration other than they brought chaos to Koonfur Galbeed

Atleast the wars based on tribal has stopped and I don't know if the credit goes to qayre and farmaajo or not but we will see

Airlines tend to not be very profitable and most nations are moving away from flag carriers and more so all private airlines. I think it's better to have a joint partnership where state owns some and the rest is owned privately than sinking a lot of public money into it.

no difference between private and public, literally depends on who runs the company, if its efficient, most big airliners are not private, at least not 100%. its only the newly cheap airlines that are making good profit margins, Somalia is located on very strategic position and we have massive diaspora, so of course it will make government big bucks.
