Could this be the reason the Turkish ambassador to Somalia went Hargeisa, to talk Somaliland out of hosting British military base.I heard people saying he went there to talk to Somaliland officials into resuming the talk with Somalia.

yea indr looks like it's true somaliland its looks like uk got green light to build a base in berbera and russia mostly likely in zaylac and emirates base will be operational after june this year.

i think in unstable region like horn of africa these military bases are deter against foreign enemies.

They will drop a direct aid package worth couple hundred of millions for Somaliland probably to keep us from entertaining the Russians, and also make sure we make a deal with US ally the UK. My friends look at it this way . We should take for friends and do business with only countries who are solid in human rights and democracy or have legitimate open , humble rulers like the -UAE. When the western countries who champion these principles give you money , the only way you can truly pay them back is in making progress in good governance , better fairness and equality . China is making a killing in Africa , why? Every president who's stolen an election take their money to build shiny buildings , bridges and roads to show what's he's done with STEALING the people's vote and when it's all said and done the Chinese want their money or something in exchange . I read this yesterday. This is a Turkish news site but the author is Ethiopian I believe that’s a bit weird. But it’s no secret world powers are interested in strategic location along the HOA. I believe somaliland should give a base to the Russians who are looking for their first military base in the region since the Cold War.
Russia is a permanent member of the UN council they have a lot of power and can grant SL recognition.
The west on the other hand and their allies are just globalist, they might give us a bit of money but they don’t want to recognise anymore countries especially the US. They want 1 somalia and 1 Africa to control everyone.
If Muse Bixi who has Russian connections spoke to the Russians and invited them, this would scare the west and Muse would be like the Russians are offering me recognised what can you offer. The west would have no choice but to recognise SL to keep the Russians out the region.
