I don't understand the election deadlock disagreements.

Post by X.Playa »

so whats the issue here??

1- They are haggling over how many vote/MP regions be allocated. Why should anything be allocated , one-man-one vote.

2- They are haggling over how many MP each clan should be allocated.

3- They are haggling over griefings of Dhulbahnate and Gedabursi ( Wadani seems to be pushing this narrative ).

4- They are bickering over how many members on election commission each party should have. Currently the oppositions have only have 2 while the ruling party 3/4. The question is why should the ruling party have more E.C if they are not cheating the system. This should have been straight forward.

So the entire deadlock is meaningless and polemic and is just deliberately manufactured to dely elections by the ruling party.

The fat-head Cirro in his interview today stated that they suggested a population census to the government my god :wow: . I was like wtf is this imbecile serious , that would take years and lots of money and its result will be controversial when each clan enumerate their goats and sheep as members of their clan applying the old somali idiom " yaan lagaa badan , yaan lagu dhaafin"

waar meeshan hadii aan maskaxa cusub ku biirin ama u talin sidani si maaha , dadkani waa uneducated vision-less buffoons.

The number of election commission members of each party should be the same and I think Wadani is right about this point. I don’t get why the president is insisting on keeping this imbalance of distribution of election commission members. I get that it has been this way since Riyaale presidency but furthering our young democracy we got to overcome this simple imbalance otherwise, if this imbalance continues, our democracy will always be characterized and threatened by electoral abuse.

That's the only thing I agree with the opposition .

A census now would be relatively simple as the majority of northerners now live in towns and villages. :)

Shouldn't the election committee be non-partisan and completely free of influences from all political parties as well as the government?

I think this whole issue can be solved by the creation of of a more independent electoral commission without the influence of Party politics. And we all know that to create such a body is not a 'rocket science'.
