Kenya's largest land block is next to Gedo directly on the Mandera-Lugh basin where Gedo region of Somalia is the majority of the basin.

Ethiopian oil seepage discovered right on their border with Gedo

Major oil discoveries in neighboring countries is on the Mandera-Lugh basin next to Gedo

I wonder if the evil British knew the Somali degaans in Kenya and Ethiopia had oil and natural gas when they awarded them to those two countries despite the Somali people not wanting to join them.

the clans in jubaland are among the fiercest in Somalia, just need to unite and do better, kenya ain't nothing, they are using Mogadishu's previous governments to encroach on Jubaland territories whether land or sea.

We already know that Jubaland has the potential to be one of Somalia's richest regions. May Allah bless our Reer Guuraa ancestors who had the foresight to conquered and settle there. It was truly godly ordained. Imagine if the scouts send by our forefathers were lazy fokers who would not return back to Ximan and report about the promised land. Imagine if Suldaan Khaalid Fiqi Hassan didn't come to Luuq, imagine without the heavy Galti migration who helped the reer Guuraa to conquer and expand more land. There is famous saying Galti settlers used to say, something like “Doolow waa la joogi lahaayee ee Sarinleey si dheh”

Nobody will be drilling the region anytime soon......all the focus is on the offshore blocks.

Focking Kenya. This was the whole reason behind joining AMISOM and their attempted wall with Gedo.

The Block next to Gedo was formed in 2010. Oil was found in 2012. Afterwards it couldn't be drilled because of insecurity. So they joined AMISOM to have troops on the otherside of the border.

Now it says the block was sold in 2017 which means they plan to drill by 2022.

They have only found oil near Tanzania and the entire border with Gedo

So we're a colony of Kenya? Somaliland is a colony of Ethiopia. Wallahi, Somali politics is depressing.
