Somali money and economics

Post by caadani90 »

The Somali speaking people have three economic hubs. These hubs are where majority of trade and money is centered.

Hargeisa, Moqdishu and Djibouti

Which one does the Darood clan occupy or control?

Understand this and you understand why they have always been the enemy of Somalis. They have no stake.

The Somali speaking people have been driven to greatest by elements within Darood. Without mentioning you would have no history. Hawiye are masters of business I know cause their fam. Politics has a master call Puntland their good in business too but kill in politics. Not sure what iidoors are good at yet. 100% know it's not politics or else they wouldnt be in the same situation for 30 years straight with no victory insight. We need to mobilize and use the strength of each qabil, wallahi we would have the greatest nation on earth within 30 years. Being something to the table other than division!

If ever subclan was declared a country tomorrow 95% would fail, that is a fact.

During the Afweyne dictatorship 75% of Somalia’s hard currency came through the port of Berbera Through the hands of Isaaq traders. Afweyne did not like the monopoly of the Isaaq traders so he tried to instill Darood traders by giving them open access to credit and marginalizing the Isaaq.
However, because of the centuries old trade links that the Isaaq had they still maintained control and this was the reason Afweyne hated the Isaaq so much.
He entered into an ‘economic war’ with them and failed. Isaaq diaspora in the UK and Gulf were sending back more than $380m a year this equates to about 15 times more than all government salaries paid by the Afweyne government. The Isaaq were bigger than the Somali state financially.

The reality is that Darood do not and have never had any financial capital. Their regions have always been the poorest and their business elite are guests in Hargeisa, Xamar and Djibouti.

Darood have contributed very little to Somali history and are infact the reason why the Somali name has taken such a beating. They are the enemy of Somalis and are the source every conflict. It all just stems from envy.

Darood can’t even pay their government workers in Puntland.
Berbera alone collects more taxes than Puntland. Wajaale alone collects more taxes than Jubaland. Darood are broke.

That is the key to understanding why darod have been seen as a fifth column within the Somali race. No major city, no major town, no big wealthy businesspeople.... no wonder they invited both Kenyan and Ethiopian troops to invade Somalia, they have no steak at all in the country.

I will give you an example, not many non darods go to darod regions like gedo, puntland, kismaayo, their side of sool but you will see darod in other places like hargeisa, burco, xamar and Djibouti.

daarood only business ever was Afweyneś government and that was uprooted , there is no Daarood business and never were. Daarood by nature are not an entrepreneurial clan , their profession is political intrigue and thievery .

So do you deny that Hargeisa, Xamar and Djibouti are the most important Somali Commercial centres?

In the Somali peninsula, the most important cities are the capitals of shanti somaliyeed - Djibouti, Jigjiga, Hargeisa, Mogadishu & Garisa.

Two of which are Darod cities.

Doofar ismaciil are the enemies of all Somalis and that's a fact. they either have their begging bowls in Mogadishu or Hargeisa.

speaking of begging bowls, the above Qurjile can tell you one or two things about it.

Jigjiga and Garrisa are two insignificant villages with minimal economic output that are owned by and pay taxes and homage to Bantus and Xabashis respectively. While Hargeisa, Xamar and Djibouti are owned, controlled and taxed by Somalis.

You telling me about two poor Ethiopian and Kenyan villages just proves my point that Darood do not have a stake in the well being of Somalis in the Horn or Somalia.

Both Jigjiga and Garissa are significantly more developed and prosperous than the slum of Xaargeisa.
