"Of the 327,320 Somali refugees in Dadaab in April 2016, UNHCR reports that 75% (247,150) were from a very concentrated area of southern Somalia – the Middle and Lower Jubba regions, and Gedo region (see Map 2). Most of the population of these three regions reside in villages or towns along the Jubba River valley, and are subsistence farmers. The vast majority of subsistence farmers in the Jubba valley are Digil-Mirifle and/or Somali Bantu. Of the remaining refugees, 23,688 are from Bay region, which is almost entirely populated by the Digil-Mirifle clan. This only adds to the percentage of refugees who are Digil-Mirifle and/or Somali Bantu."

Most of the Daroods left a few years ago.
There has been a steady stream of Harti moving to J/land for the last few years.

There are loads of videos on youtube inviting any Somalis in the diaspora to move and invest in J/Land.
Every kind of resource is in abundance....all thats needed is investment.

Most Daroods left years ago.....these unfortunate people couldn't return because of all the war and famine.

Dhadhaab actually belongs to Ogaden Cawlyahan clan. They’re known as the host community. Darood were there in the 90s and have left for Nairobi, South Africa, Uganda, Botswana, Zambia and other parts of Africa and some have immigrated to North America. There more non-Darood refugees in Dhadhaab today than Darood.
