Somalia is ripe for a two party system: federalist vs centralist

Post by Talo alle udaa »

The central philosophical difference seems to be what kind of relationship states will have with central federal government.
disagreements seem to revolve around how much power the federal government have what say states should have with regards to all key functions of government.

Two parties that are pro centralist vs federalist will be good for the country as it will
transcend tribal & dogmatic allegiances.

Only minority groups prefer the centralism system. I am sure both puntland and jubaland don't want to be part it . But the big challenge Will come from the people of Mogadishu who are demanding their Rights. Mogadishu can't be a shared cake while everyone else don't want to share his cake with any one . Any person
who expectss that mogadishu will remain a federal property is day dreaming. Bur cawsleh iyo meel biyo leh biciidaw laysku waa .

There is no debate Somalia has chosen a Federal path. Anyone who brings Centealist Siyad Barre views has come to destroy the little functioning dawlad we have built. Their personal lives will be taken before these ass faces will be allowed to destroy Somalia again.

Its Federalism or death watch and see bitches!

We need an Arab style true Kingdom to rule Somalia. When I gain power I will make sure it happens and kill ever single nomand and their family who dare disagree. Somalia needs to be saved from this laangaabs ever being possible to lead us for a single day. This system has been an obvious failure!!!

Sometimes I wonder if our ppl have mild bipolar in them. You just contradicted yourself, on one hand praising the benefits of federalism and then wishing to be a ruler of an absolute monarchy, the most extreme form of centralized power.

Premature! Unless AS is defeated it’s all premature talk. We have more to fear from AS than each other

Can you blame him? He's been spoon-feed ducktales of his clan's "magnificent" past as a Sultanate who ruled present day Puntland. When in reality, they were nothing more than vultures who feasted on the spoils of shipwrecks.

I believe federalism has its benefits in developing the periphery and decentralized self rule. But the problem with it is, Somalis are animals who see politics and culture through clan lens. Federalism works for Ethiopia because it has numerous ethnicities. While we speak one language and have one culture.

Federalism was a scheme to weaken Somalia so we can picked off by our neighbors and our leaders sign off contracts so our wealth can siphoned to the west. In my opinion, centralism with a strong leader like Paul Kagame who can build our nation is needed. I dont trust Reer miyi with selfish interests.
