So what's the update in Somalia the last 6 months?

Post by Voltage »

Last I paid attention has been a while. What changed or happened?

Last I remember Sahal was giving his 4th 6 months extension to Farmaajo impeachment (he originally said Farmaajo wouldn't last a year, Farmaajo is heading to his 3rd year) and was saying Kheyre would be replaced any day. What came true?

Abkoow was also screaming about some mythical Mogadishu uprising. How did that pan out?

Farmaajo seems to have not only triumphed but also neutered his opposition (you don't even hear any talk anymore)

Anything else I missed?

You mean a sarcasm but here's the reality:
Government using "begged & taxpayers" money for their interest (installing puppet regional heads)
Forgot war on Al-shabab
doesn't control chunk of Mogadisho let alone the rest of the country
Paying "social media" maniacs like Duqbilow and Boodhari for PR
Privatisation of justice (sparing killers) Minister Siraji's killer, still untouched
Preparing for the Oromo annexation of Somali terrritory

They think they're on cruise mode but they're on "self-destructive" mode.
The head of southwest was being replaced (though i didn't like him) look at the situation right now. Are Southwestern's in favour of Farmaajo as they were?
Sheekh Shaakir group started their disagreement with N£N
Hiiraan are not united
Jubaland is in cooking mode

After all of these, somewhere, someone thinks the government is crusing at a high altitude while it is actually nose-diving. Keep the seat-belt fastened there's storm brewing ahead.

As an MJ, I fully support President Farmaajo and I wish he stays for another 5 years as a president but for only one condition, Don't mess or interfere with Puntland or Jubaland internal affairs.

Other than that I don't mind MX president for live.

It's like arguing with white people about the genocide and displacement they committed int he Americas, N&N supporters will not acknowledge any of this, and will try to convince you we are winning so much.

let's see what this unprecedented success leads to.

As long as N&N burns Axmed Madoobe and New Kismayo to the ground. I'll consider it a success. Jubbaland is majority MX. I could care less about other parts of Somalia.

It seems you didn't learn from 1991 when your uncle siyad barre was kicked out and marehan was massacred and only few left to live, now neither OG or MJ will save you if you keep talking about the president of Jubaland like that.

Also marehan aren't majority in Jubaland, Ogaden are the majority and harti comes second and if you want war then we are ready for a war.

As an MJ and a native Jubalander, I trust Ogaden with power especially Mr. President Ahmed Madoobe than a totalitarian mx who wants all power to himself.
