I don't think he is that stupid. It looks more like some kind of health condition especially hypoglycemia where his glucose levels are falling. I used to have a coworker with diabetes and sometimes when her s glucose drops, she would look confused, uncontrollable movements, and would not make any sense when she speaks. I bet that is what going on here.
