While Nytimes could be slanted and biased every now and then, I 100% believe them with regard to this latest bombshell because its 100% truth. The Government this Farmaajos Gov is in bed with (Qatar) is no different from the other spoilers (UAE, KSA) with regard to Somalia destabilization. They all actively work with Irhaabta. I suggest we all get comfortable in our qurbaha seats and imbed ourselves in the Western Governments we live in, as there hasn’t been, and may never be another Somalia. RIP 1991. Tell me a civilized, free, modern nation who has their seaports managed by a different country?

Well it's been obvious the UAE is trying to 'punish' Somalia by creating rifts between the Federal Government and the Maamul gobaleeds (PL,SL,etc) These people aren't civilized enough to see the ploy being played at their own expense. The FGS needs liquid funds since the country has had no real institutions since 1991 so for only 2 years this Admin has been quite successful. I am waiting to see how much progress is made in their second term though.

But as long as foreign nations are able to play different clans against their government (Ethiopia in the 80s, Gulf states today) we will continue to be in this dilemma unless there is balkanization where each clan state becomes their own country. But as you can tell with tribalism it'll further disintegrate into sub-clan factions warring against each other within those balkanized states.

The whole scheme N&N has been playing is masterful in the way they are installing leaders into each Federal state that pledges allegiance. In that way you have a clan representative from that state that will go along with the plans from the government. They will continue to implement these leaders in the first term, along with making sure there is an infrastructure in place for the military to get their pay without a middleman hence biometrics where there are no more ghost soldiers. The second term will be more development oriented I believe and integrating a nationwide military. But this is all long-term work, successive governments with different approaches will hinder progress if they choose to go a different route.
