Great news!

The Somalis where much more receptive to the idea of working with the Oromo
than Amara. Hopefully the few spoilers will cease their actions.

The somalis were not one block. The ogaden were completely against oromo and wanted to work with the amhara. They even tried to stage a coup against ahmed shide and claimed he was an oromo but that failed after extreme pressure from the dir block lead by isaaq. Ogaden were calling for no census count as they knew what time it was but after talks behind closed doors they bent the knee to the dir block and have accepted ahmed shides power and to work with oromos and they will be allowed to keep their position as k5 pres and we will take the federal positions. There is new harmony in the Somali region now and we've stopped the pressure on ogaden.

Why are they talking about the few Oromo who were expelled and not the thousands of Somalis who were ethnically cleansed?

i remember there were Oromo / Eritrean officers in the Somali army .
I have always supported the Oromo people in their struggle against the Derg / TPLF regime .

Only few Somalis can understand how things work in Ethiopia. I have been warning time and time again the danger of "neftenya" Amharas, and we've already seen their ambition for the last few months, this was a wake-up call for Somalis and Oromos hence the peace initiatives.
There is a greater danger that both Somalis and Oromos are facing, and working together against the greater enemy is necessary.
If you only knew The Derg situation:
military garrisons in every city
Sa'at Alaafi
No import, export
No healthcare
No education
The list is endless.
We have to to put our differences aside and unite for the common enemy.

They will sell you out at the drop of a hat....however, other Somali's will sell you out even quicker.

You were against the Oromo. And you were protesting against the Pro oromo Dir conference in Addis. Not just you but Even cagjar himself and all daaroods were against the Oromo.
