There has been tit for tat killings going on between reer Ceelafweyne since the end of the last iidoor civil war in 1995.
These divisions have been exacerbated and exploited by various politicians.
It seems there is a hidden hand determined to ignite a new iidoor civil war.
If war breaks out because of clan/political alliances it will quickly engulf the entire north.

The hate is deep......they kill each others women and children. Then they have to go back to living with each other in the same towns and villages.
I think this is the problem.....having to see the killers of your family everyday.
Dhulbahante by contrast live in hundreds of settlements without any iidoor and only meet in grazing lands and wells...and yet we have excellent relations with our iidoor neighbours.

What you're describing fits what happens in 'Faqashland.' Are you sure you're telling the truth or it's smear tactics meant to tarnish the good name of SL?original dervish wrote: Wed Aug 14, 2019 7:38 pm The hate is deep......they kill each others women and children. We live only a few kms away from Ceelafweyne and know the sub sub clans involved in the feuding.
They live together and we live apart from them with no problems.

No other clan does that to each other — slaughter of their supposed kin. I can’t get the image out of my mind of that boy whose head was almost decapitated. He couldn’t have been more than 15 years of age. Strange.

Let us just pray that Allah make all those involved hearts see the ugliness of these deeds & make them abhor the committing of such crimes against each other and may this be the last bad news we get from that area....aamin.

It's not so much an iidoor problem as a Somali problem.
Somali's of different sub clans view each other as foreigners/enemies.....until this mindset changes we will continue to see similar flare ups across the country.
PS no clan is immune from this problem.
