I'm sick of the sight of this little white girl with a face like a granny.
They keep babbling on about climate crisis.....like the rest of the world isn't suffering clean water crises, food crises, disease crises and security crises.

The UK Prime Minister's bizarre speech to the UN is very telling. If one could decipher and read between the lines, one might see and come to know that what BoJo had proposed and the invitation he issued to world leaders to come to London for a discussion on the "one major" future challenge that is facing the world (potential and real dangers of technology and free information) and the formation of a global body that will deal with such dangers. He just stopped short of saying that the UN has served it's purpose and hinted that it is now necessary to start discussing a successor world body. And next year and in London will be where the foundation to the successor to the UN will be laid.
Listen to the speech really carefully and think about why his speech solely concentrated on just one single topic and it's impact.....I admit not everyone will be able to see this and see the speech as just simply talking about technology and would not see that BoJo, has just started the countdown to the demise of the UN.
This speech by the UK Prime Minister has announced the beginning of the End for the United Nations.
Boris Johnson’s theme was the opportunities and challenges of technology and he ranged across a variety of subjects, from mattresses that can monitor your nightmares to a diet of “terrifying limbless chickens”. Here is a selection of his quotes:
“In the future, voice connectivity will be in every room and almost every object: your mattress will monitor your nightmares; your fridge will beep for more cheese.”
“A future Alexa will pretend to take orders. But this Alexa will be watching you, clucking her tongue and stamping her foot.”
“You may keep secrets from your friends, from your parents, your children, your doctor – even your personal trainer – but it takes real effort to conceal your thoughts from Google.”
“AI – what will it mean? Helpful robots washing and caring for an ageing population? Or pink-eyed terminators sent back from the future to cull the human race?”
"...Above all, we need to agree a common set of global principles to shape the norms and standards that will guide the development of emerging technology"
"I hope you will come there, where we will seek to assemble the broadest possible coalition to take forward this vital task."
This somehow echoes and resembles the talkings and rhetoric that took place the immediate period prior to the formation and birth of the United Nations as a successor to the League of Nations.

Bro, the pleasure is all mine.
Bro I would really appreciate if you could share your thoughts on the speech. I would also appreciate if you could also share what you think are the similarities between Boris Johnson's UN speech in which he urges the world leaders to find “the right balance between freedom and control.” about future technologies. And asked the questions " Can these algorithms be trusted with our lives and hopes?”,....“Are we doomed to a cold and hard future where a computer says ‘yes’ or ‘no’?”
But if things are done right, he said, a different story could unfold for all of us.
Now compare and contrast that with what the founders of the United Nations had 'invisioned' and were propagating prior to establishing it.
They had said:
“Would we win only to live in dread of yet another war? Should we not define some purpose more creative than military victory? Is it not possible to shape a better life for all countries and peoples and cut the causes of war at their roots?”
“The only true basis of enduring peace is the willing cooperation of free peoples in a world in which, relieved of the menace of aggression, all may enjoy economic and social security; It is our intention to work together, and with other free peoples, both in war and peace, to this end.”
"....develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace;"
You see the United Nations was founded to keep peace between Nations. However, Boris Johnson in his speech to the UN, implies that the current and future challenges are no longer to "cut the causes of war", "relieve people of the menace of aggression" between Nations and peoples but he says it is to safeguard our lives and hopes against Algorithms. He asked; How do you plead with an algorithm? How do you get it to see extenuating circumstances?” and added “We need to find the right balance between freedom and control.”
I think From this it will be fair to assume that he is suggesting that the United Nations in it's current form is not fit for this purpose and hence, the invitation he issued to the the London summit next year where the establishment of a global body to deal with these new challenges/threats that new technologies pose to humanity will get discussed and get the ball rolling on how dismantle the UN just like how the League of Nations was made irelevent and obsolete.
My dear bro, I love to hear your take on this.
