Aside from greed and lack of values I am trying to figure out if he has any other motivations for his actions. Whatever he has done in the past he has reached a new low when he joined that crew that flew to Kismaayo.

I personally don't see what Barre Hiiraale saw in this guy to make him his Abaanduule, but in exchange for backstabbing him he once called himself Jubbaland Vice President and now calls himself a Senator and wears a suit.

His first cousin is the mother of my first cousins. I learned everything I need to know about him from her.

When Gen Ahmed Warsame led the SNF forces that captured Baardheere, Fartaag led the frontal assault and that's how Barre wanted him when Marehan decided to remove Morgan from Kismaayo.

Still, he is a true tuug at heart and still is.

I was under the impression he was a high ranking member of the Somali military before it collapsed. I have seen many refer to him as jeneraal Fartaag.

I didn't know that about him. At least he wasn't a useless POS all of his life.

Does anyone know if Cabdirisaaq Fartaag and this dhiiglaawe idiot are related. Cabdirisaaq Fartaag is and has been on a one man war against graft in Somalia.I didn't even know he was beesha until I came across this Caasimada article. He doesn't care for qabiil though.

No Abdirisaaq Fartaag the economist is Celi, different to the Senator who is Reer Ugaas Shermaarke.

He is very closely related to the famous Celi family of reer Aw-Maxamuud (Dr Mohamed Adan Sheekh's family)

The economist guy was brought in by the UN to oversee public finance manangement for Sheekh Sharif gov and the first guy to do a legitimate audit of the Somali gov.

He is now a Word Bank/IMF advisor for Somalia
