Teenaged lives ruined; no clemency hearings



A Nigerian immigrant has been found to have infected two Maltese girls with the HIV virus. The man knew he had HIV but still had intercourse with the teenagers, one of whom was a minor at the time. He is now facing criminal prosecution, both for knowingly infecting the girls and for defiling a minor.

Nigeria has the third highest amount of HIV infections in the world with only South Africa and India having more cases. Its 3.6 million HIV carriers constitute 5.8% of Nigeria’s population (2001).

The HIV/AIDS infection rate in Africa is 7.5% or almost 1 in 13. The grand total of cases in Malta (2004) is 17. We can now add another 2 to that figure.

It may be that there are more cases of HIV/AIDS in the local population of ‘klandestini’ alone than the rest of the Maltese population combined.

There have also been reports of a resurgence of both scabies and syphilis here in Malta, both of which were eradicated locally before the immigrant invasion started.

On whom can we place the blame?

Although these girls were probably not forced to have intercourse with the Nigerian they should have been made well aware of the risks involved. The best prevention of course is abstinence.

We also have the constant bombardment of degenerate media from American TV stations such as MTV. The portrayal of ethnic Africans - who refer to women as bitches - as being somehow cool role-models, does massive damage to both male and female sections of our youth. It teaches men to be disrespectful and violent and women to be subservient and promiscuous.

The Maltese government seems as incompetent as ever with its utter spinelessness in dealing with our immigration problem and its disastrous consequences. Our supposed government constantly rolls over in the face of international pressure and is gradually turning Malta into one giant refugee and immigration centre as Italian minister Frattini once suggested.

Immigrant promoting institutions such as the Jesuit Refugee Service depend on the influx of immigrants both to increase the rapidly dropping numbers of the Catholic faithful through conversion, and also to maintain their tax-free status as a charity.

All the above can be named as guilty accomplices in the above tragedy.

How many more disease infections do we need? How many more young lives are we going to destroy before we realise that Malta should remain Maltese and Europe must reassert herself as European?
