Was MSB implicated in his murder.
Iknow the west did not like him bexause he shifted his support to USSR.

Was MSB used to finish him off?

In the BBC interview with Mr Ingriis, a question is posed as to why there was never an investigation on the assassins motives? You would think that after the demise of a President that the successive government wold look into the matter and share the findings with the public. Instead the assassin was quietly put to death and the investigation never went anywhere. A convenient myth was peddled as Anoqabiil but no one ever figured how the assassin was able to get so close to the president. Soon after the murder, the coup which brought Soviet leaning government to power

I wouldn't doubt if afweyne was behind it he took out his own friends in the army who led the coup I wouldn't be surprised if he and the Soviets worked on this. I mean sharmarke was killed by his own body guard the version of the history we have is that he was murdered by a guard. Who wanted an cali selebaan in power for you who don't know cali selebaan it's an mj subclan.

Mjs are the last people to kill their own. They are among the most civilised of somalis and would have dulqaad for their own. They are only the few somali clans that have kala dambeyn so yes this story of body guard does not add up.This conspiracy theory was created to fool the masses like JFK.

When MSB took over the purge of MJ started.Marexan have always hated MJ.Even though MSB was protected and got promoted to higher ranks ranks thanks to MJ.

We see today from the facts that when government building process was taking place in mbagathi MJ were spearheading it while Marexan were at the back bench.
When C.Yussuf took over and came to Xamar.Marexan were at the backbench. Then political innexperienced Farmajo comes to power and all over sudden they start talking about the revival of Kacanka aka staehood.
MJ have known governance as if it is in their blood. After being kicked from Kismaayo they went and created PL in the desert and it thrived and become a success story.

While in the other hand JVA stalled and there was no progress in Kismaayo or Gedo for close to a decade.
Farmajos policy is to create a JL modelled on PL which is Marexan Majority and later to use Hawiye to invade and dismantle PL.

The biggest threat of Marexan in Somalia politics is MJ.

It's true afweyne hated mj the most and were a threat to his govt and they were first to rebel against him. Plus the coup of Ciiro. I think when It comes to the darood the mj are the most organised that's why they call themselves boqorka daarood the mj I know apart from the faan which is very irritating wa dad civilised ah and don't want to burn their own house. Even though they are our enemies. Afweyne had a motive so it's good to look into this story. The 2 subclans if compared marexaan more straight forward. While mj are cunning and full of khiyaamo. Marexaanka respect strength iyo xoog winner takes all mentally. Mj wey gurguuranayan to get where they are step by step to achieve their goals . The only federal state in Somalia that pushes federalism is mj ogaden joined them. Hawiye had no interest in federalism only sacad. But cayr and selebaan were not serious. Abgaal was unuka leh xamar babay haysteen which couldn't be a federal state since its the capital.

MSB was protected by his nephew the first Somali Prime Minister of the caretaker government of Italian Somaliland. He would come to Abdullahi Issa’s mother (MX) and ask her to tell her son protect him. The one guy who was eager to fire MSB was Prime Minister Egal. He didn’t like MSB.

So what did MSB do to his nephew? Arrested him and then sent him into exile as Ambassador to Sweden. Later on he even denied renewing his passport. It’s like Moi denying Thomas Mboya a Kenyan passport.

If a Marehan was given a choice of a MSB like Dictatorship with MJ cleansed from the Country but the country remains 3rd World Like

Or A Democratic 1st World Somalia they would choose the Former.

Marehan are powerloving and civilised but there problem is Cuqdad
Cuqdad they have for Somalis
Cuqdad they have for Kablalax
Cuqdad they have for MJ/OG

Its the truth of the matter
The only thing holding back Marehan is the hate they hold for there brothers.
Marehan is Hawiye Alligned and has always been.

Its a common fact that MSB and his Junta were behind the murder of President CabdiRashiid, the first Democratically Elected Presidenf.

They also hated the fact that he was MJ and his Prime Minister was MJ

Majeerteen and Mudulood coopted the Somali state during the 60s. It was a mafia state. They couldn't even agree to a Somali script and the corruption was at it's height. The Arusha Accord was the last straw that forced MSB to act. Kacaanka Barakaysan was the solution to the stalemate of post independence Somalia that won equality and development for umadda Somaliyeed for 21 years. Abdirashid's death was a small cost for the rise of a powerful Somalia. Hawiye and Majeerteen lost their prominence. It was a small price to pay to stop the colonial lackeys of Italy and the UK

Under MJ leadership iidoor were :eat:

Sharmake and Cigaal alliance.
The moment MSB took over both suffered immensly.

HG try to create a bad picture of MSB but they had more positions under MSB than they had when mudulood Harti and Iidoor alliance existed in the 60s.

But did the Abdulle & Sharmarke governments massacre their people? Nope. We even had regular elections and people had a say.

I think Cigaal had seen something in MSB that he didnt like(Maybe the British intelligence coughed to him about MSB dealings with USSR).That is the reason he wanted to demote MSB but Sharmake stepped in thinking he was saving his Darood kin.But then It cost him his life.

It was better than the kacanka.

Adan Law was more fitting to be a president than MSB.
Guess what MSB jailed Adan Law even though they were from same subclan.
Adan Law was more wadani even though he was a former Italian soilder.

People in that era were much less tribalistic than after 1969. There was tribal tension but also a general sense of collective Somalinimo. We had MPs being elected in areas that there qabiil didn’t live. Alliances were formed based on mutual interests. Some families belonged to different parties: dad in one, mom in another.

Now it is a sense of a zero sum game with no long term plan
