It's an ideology used by highly corrupt Somali politicians in Mogadishu to enrich themselves.

They use many good hearted people, who mean well.

They convince many ordinary Somali people to become unionists. That they need to work for the (fake) Unionism project.

Until those very people become a threat to their corrupt practices. They become expendable and they kill them.

Unionism has always been a front for a group of people who want to control all Somalis and corruptly appropriate our common resources.

The likes of Farmaajo, Hassan Sheikh, Sheikh Sharif, Sharif Sakiin, Madoobe etc.

What have unionists ever done for the regions? For Somaliland? For Bay and Bakool? For Gedo or Puntland? For Kilika shanaad? For NFD in Kenya? For Djibouti? Even for the people of Mogadisbu. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

They just want to hoard all Somali power and money in Mogadishu, to enrich themselves and build mansions in Nairobi and Dubai.

But the corrupt officials in Mogadishu take the tax revenues from Mogadishu port, Mogadishu airport, Bakaara Market, the Airline fees, the Fishing licenses, the telecommunications licences, the oil licenses. And they use this to build mansions in Nairobi and Kenya. They distract the people by talking about Somaliland and stupid propaganda stunts like paying kids to wear the blue flag in Hargeisa. Rather than provide BASIC public services
