Somalia needs independent military institution like algeria

Post by sahal80 »

1992 islamists won elections in algeria but they committed big mistake as they refused to be controlled by the army or share with them power like the defense minister. thr president accepted the result so the army removed him

since then Gen lamari was the strong man of algeria he worked with weak fake "elected" presidents but the last one boutafliqa was great he inflitrated in them(the army bought their loyalties with money) and fought corruption in this oil producing country and life get better then there were a mix of generals and politicians known as the العصابة the gangs who took advange of an aged paralyzed president in a wheelchair then the hero officer brought end to the rule of al cisabah.

Somalia the biggest problem is the army. in london security conference there waa a plan each state to have clan-based 3000 army but artificially controlled by Mogadishu. this totalitarian xoogaga Govt is trying to fuck up this system it doesnt work. secondly we need an independent army chief staff to stop the abuse of power by the politicians. i think this post should be given to the minorities until our democracy matures (Democratic consolidation is the process by which a new democracy matures, in a way that means it is unlikely to revert to authoritarianism)

allah yarhamo General Qaid salah passed away. Algerian people love him.

An independent army like the Egyptian one , needs it's own revenue sources , if the army has no sources of income it can't be independent from politicians. The biggest problem I have seen in somalia army , is too many changes , their leadership is not staple. The other problem is they politicized the intelligence department.

In somaliland our army is led by only 1 person or two at most , last thirty 3 decades , same goes to the police and intelligence , each one of them is dominated by specific clans. So their leadership is staple and father-figure for the junior officers. I wish them to own factories , because peaple always trust their army than the politicians.
