I’m disappointed in N&N instead of focusing on millions of higher priorities like the Capital, maritime case etc is focussing on Galmudug.


That said don’t take this as a qabiil shot but a lot of this is because HG have literally zero kala danbayn. I mean if I didn’t know any better I’d think Sacad, Cayr, Saruur, Salebaan were different qabiilo all together.

what the government is doing is to make sure most of the federal states are pro dowlad, one thing that is interesting is that only puntland and kismaayo have there own miltia both hiirshabeele and southwest are SNA.

galmudug is a bit different every qabil is armed to the teeth because there is no trust. the ultimate goal for the government is to have SNA as the only armed force when that happens the federal presidents will be nothing but paper president. for that to happen the central government needs to make sure the federal states are happy and content to give up there militias which in most case they are as long as the central government is strong enough to guarantee there safety. So federal states as we know it today will be temporary but even if we go back to the dastuur, federal states should not have an militia and federal states should not be in control of border custom(land,sea and air).

Therefore galmudug is important for the central government to showcase to both the international community and the somali people that if the government has the trust of this area then the rest of the country is nothing in compared. lets be honest most of Somalia's problems stems from mudug/ galgaduud.

tame galmudug and you have a blueprints for the rest of the country.

I understand why this makes sense electorally for N&N to win the election. If they are on good terms with SW, Galmudug, Hiirshabelle leadership, they’ll take that with the 14 Marexaan mps others and coast Next election. But I don’t care about electoral BS, or not as a Marexaan but I’m simply speaking as a Somali citizen when I said its a waste of time.


All that being said you bring up a great point about the standing up of a real SNA not scattered regional state militias.

It is a case of carpet bagging politicians. None of the candidates has spent the last 5 years in Galmudug. They all fly in, distribute cash and appeal to tolnimo before getting what they want fly back to Xamar to pursue their own interests. The losers are the locals who get squat and continue to suffer from poor representation.

The poor Ilkoyar, Iljeex, Ali Beesten, will continue to fight over wells, grass pasture and go on YouTube to calacaal about the next drought.
