I have been saying for years: Turkey has an ulterior motive.

We all know there is no such thing as a free lunch. Now Turkey's price for 'helping' Somalia has become clear

They were after the oil all along

Watch hor Sharmaajo & Kheyrlaawe sell Somalia's coastline for $1m dollars

Turkey has done a great job with the port and Airport, we welcome Turkey’s involvement. Much better than Dubai’s incompetence, how’s Berbera corridor btw?

Somalia’s collective IQ was determined to be 68. As much of a insult that is for me to stomach, as much as it makes me want to clap back, when I see posts like this all I can say is #Facts

WTF you expect damiin yaho, that a country will pour 10s of millions of dollars at a shyt hole country, develop critical infrastructure, then not position themselves to gain in the .00001% chance this 68 IQ inhabited country actually generates income! In what Dunya? :mindblown:

It always depends on the deal, my cousin is petroleum engineer, always look out for national interest in major projects like this, but Turkey is literally the only country worthy of getting the chance to partner with us in exploration with all their investments in Mogadishu and government.

Turkey has a policy of investing in muslm and african countries so when it helps you with good infrastructure its because they want import their goods to you. thhey offering you scholarship to spread their language for this reason the ruling party became very popular within the Turkish companies and now they want to invest in oil and gas this is why Ataturkism has come to an end

on the other hand if i want to sed some goods from uk to somalia i have to send it first to dubai port then it goes to any somali region so internationalizing Mogadishu port is a loss for dubai port and somalis are the second foreign ethnicity after the persians who use this port so to sabogate these Turkish projects they offering Somalis false promises. the other factor is that Arabs look at somalia from their own arab security perspect not that they believe we are arabs we r in the arab league for security reasons and that includes the water not just the read sea الامن العربى specially egypt because of the Nile. since Abiy Ahmed became the pm egypt changed its position from Somali unity because it was using Somalia as a counterweight to Ethiopia and now they got the oromo besides Eritrea and they all want share the red sea ports so they dont like to sea Turkey or Iran Somalia from Arab security perspective.

The thing is, any other country would have held a competitive bidding process. But the Nabar & Naxdin lackeys of Turkey have given the Turks a blank cheque.

Dumb economic policy. Almost as bad as $1m contract with China for Somalia's entire fishing stock.
